Resolved Question: How can I be a director with agoraphobia?

I am interested in directing films. I've never worked on one before, but it's something that I've been interested in for years. I'm currently trying to go back to school for Fine Art (B.A.) so that I can get a M.A. in Film... ...but I have major social issues that don't really go away. I have worked on it for years, and I'm a lot better than I used to be, but I'm still nervous talking to a lot of people...strangers and being in crowded places, etc. I've read that Woody Allen and Kim Basinger are both agoraphobic. I'm just wondering how I could get off the ground and really do anything in a field that seems to be so social.
